Leeds Tykes are proud to announce a new partnership with Queen Ethelburga’s College (QE’s) for the 2022/23 season.
QE’s is a boarding and day school located on the edge of York and Harrogate catering for girls and boys from ages 3 months to 19 years old. As well as having a fantastic academic reputation the school is very well known for its sporting prowess.
Ex Tyke Rob Rawlinson is the Head of Sport at QE’s where he started in full time employment shortly after retiring from professional rugby. The school has produced some exceptional athletes over recent years and three current members of the Tykes squad are products of the school. Tight Head Will Dennis is the oldest of the three and has been on the team sheet every game this season. Pharrell Parker and Lucas Walsh are both 18 years old and graduated from QE’s last year. Both lads impressed during pre-season and went on to make appearances in our pre-season games against Esher and Hull. Pharrell also appeared on the bench in our victorious league fixture at Esher.
QE’s are sponsoring Leeds Tykes’ flagship game at Headingley Stadium on Saturday 17 December against Sale FC (watch out for details). Many students will be attending the game which we hope will inspire them to follow in the footsteps of Will, Lucas and Pharrell.
