Leeds Tykes staff had the pleasure of supporting Leeds Corinthians with their work in the community. Andy Cassar and Judy Germaine run inclusive weekly rugby sessions at Middleton Sports Centre, which provides opportunities for local residents with health conditions or impairments.
The group practice rugby skills such as passing and running then get into a tag game. Not only do they benefit from the physical challenges that rugby can provide but they also experience the social aspects of team sport such as communication and teamwork. Also, developing the resilience skills that are needed when experiencing the highs and lows of playing or enjoying sport which Tykes fans know so much about!
